How to measure a well fitting shirt

You can send us measurements from your well fitting shirt. We can make the shirts accordingly for you. This will be a good starting point. Please iron the shirt before measuring.

 

Biceps / Sleeve Width

Description

Measure from the bottom of the sleeve, where it meets the body to the top of the sleeve.

Rounded Armhole Description

Place the measuring tape at the top of the armhole seam and follow it along its edge. In the image, the armhole measurement is 10.00". Should be 1.0" to 2.0" bigger than the bicep measurement.

(Note: this is a curved measurement, so please measure carefully.)

 

Bottom

Description

Measure at the bottom of the shirt

Chest

Description

Measure the chest width just below the area where the arms meets the body

Waist

Description

Measure about 8" below the armpit.

Yoke

Description

Measure the width of the yoke an inch below where the yoke meets the neck at the center of the back.

Sleeve

Description

Measure the sleeve length by beginning at the center of the yoke(Red arrow) right to the end of the sleeve (Green arrow)

Shirt Length

Description

Measure the length of the start by beginning at the point where the yoke meets the neck band and measure till the bottom end of the shirt

Cuff

Description

Measure the cuff from the center of the button to the middle of the buttonhole

Neck

Description

Measure the neck from the center of the button to the middle of the buttonhole

 

Shrinkage

We prewash each shirt length individually, just before cutting it for your shirt. Some fabrics are washed more than once if they have a tendency to shrink further.
The shirt you will receive would be pre-shrunk and will not shrink further significantly. You are thus not required to adjust for shrinkage.
